Curriculum: Students acquire the knowledge and skills for video and audio acquisition and shooting, editing, directing, lighting, computer network operations, replay, graphics, compositing, animation and switching. They use industry standard software and hardware including Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premier and After Effects, EVS, Sony, Grass Valley and Red. Projects involve filmmaking, documentaries, commercial production, TV broadcast, and sports production. Students also learn about the distribution of video content through broadcast, web streaming, film-making and live venues.

Followed the basketball team (ages 15-17) as they traveled on the Nike Circuit.

Business Owner / Videographer – Attend basketball practices and games at colleges around the country and create compelling video clips for players from games and practices to be used on social media. Deeply familiar with intercollegiate (NCAA) events, activities, and operations.
Impact – Began the business senior year in prep school, attending an All-Star game. Built the concept and business organically. Created 80+ videos which have been used by high school basketball players to promote themselves to colleges for potential scholarships. Over the course of more than four years, 60+ students nationally have earned college scholarships. This includes students from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Texas.

Splashday Event – “Splashday was established by Bloomfield native Rain Hayles — better known as Splash Productions to his 13,000-plus Instagram followers. Hayles has been creating basketball mixtapes for four years and sharing them on social media, growing from small-time videographer to a regular fixture in the New England hoops scene, with his highlights featured on SLAM and Bleacher Report.
